Over the past 30+ years, Bond & Botes has been blessed with attorneys who are skilled not only in the practice of bankruptcy law, but in the very machinations that improve the experience for all involved. Wm. Joey Schiffman is one such attorney.
A graduate of Samford’s Cumberland School of Law in 2012, Joey went on to gain his Master of Laws in Taxation from Boston University. From there, he was a Staff Attorney for the New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division until making his way back to his home state of Alabama.
Joey joined the Bond & Botes team in 2018, and quickly proved himself a highly capable and effective bankruptcy lawyer. He was primarily responsible for client meetings and intakes, and showed great knowledge of the bankruptcy subject matter combined with a strong compassion for the folks we represent. Still, one of his strongest skills revolved around his technical expertise – specifically, computer hardware and software. After making significant IT contributions that benefitted the entire firm during his tenure, Joey decided that he’d indeed found a new passion. This month, he’ll strike a new career path in the field of software development.
Although we will miss him dearly at Bond & Botes, we are confident that Joey’s curious personality and career experience will serve him well in this new endeavor. Thank you Joey for your time with Bond & Botes – we wish you the best in all that you do!
