A native of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Ed currently resides in Pass Christian, Mississippi. He is the managing partner of Bond Botes Woods & Drummond, P. C. in Mississippi where he represents clients and oversees the firm’s statewide practice. Ed concentrates his practice on representing individual consumers and families in financial distress. His clients include individuals seeking formal debt relief in the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi. He also defends clients being sued by debt collectors in state court. Ed actively represents clients in suits under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act seeking money damages for his clients against abusive debt collectors. During his career, Ed has also represented numerous clients at trial and in settlement negotiations in personal injury, criminal defense, domestic relations, and state court appeals cases.
In addition to practicing law full time and from 2004 until his judicial retirement in 2022, Ed served as a Justice Court Judge elected from the Northern District of Warren County, Mississippi. During his tenue as a justice court judge, he presided over numerous civil and misdemeanor criminal cases and initial proceedings in felony criminal cases. In 2013, Ed was appointed by former Mississippi Governor Bill Waller, Jr. to serve a six-year term on the Mississippi Commission for Judicial Performance. During his service on the Commission, he participated in hearings and proceedings involving ethics complaints against state court judges in Mississippi.

What I like best about my job
I enjoy the opportunity to meet with individuals and families who are facing financial difficulties, debt collection harassment and other legal challenges. Helping these individuals and families to finally and permanently resolve these problems is very rewarding. Seeing the stress of these problems being removed from these individuals and families makes my daily efforts personally satisfying and worthwhile.
