This week will feature a heavy conversation, but one we truly believe is important to be had right now: suicide awareness. Adjusting to life during a pandemic is no easy feat, and it comes as no surprise that it's a struggle to prioritize mental health and wellbeing right now. The implications, as a result, can be dangerous. Dr. Dale Wisely will be returning to the stream to spearhead this conversation.
If you tuned in for our discussion on school reopenings, Dr. Wisely will be a familiar face to you. If you didn't, here's a quick refresher: Dr. Wisely currently serves as Director of Family Life at Prince of Peace Catholic Church & School in Hoover, Alabama. He has been a child and adolescent psychologist for 36 years, and has received the Alabama Psychological Association's Distinguished Service to Professional Psychology award twice. He's recently written a book called Seven Stars that addresses this specific subject. His experience and perspective put him in a place to help guide a discussion on such a sensitive and heavy topic with a practiced hand, and we hope you'll find it useful.
