This episode of the Next Lawyer Up podcast features attorney Taze Shepard of Huntsville, AL.
In a manner of speaking, a large part of the population of North Alabama lives here and works here because of Taze's grandfather, Senator John Sparkman. Senator Sparkman was instrumental in moving the Von Braun missile team to what was then a sleepy little military outpost called Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Taze's father, Tazewell T. Shepard II, was a Navy war hero who served as a White House military aide and retired as a 2 star Rear Admiral from the Navy. As a Navy Ensign, he was awarded the Navy Cross for heroism in combat which is the military award just below the Medal of Honor.
Taze himself is humble about his family's history. He is a very talented lawyer and he still practices with the law firm he started with his grandfather, Sparkman, Shepard and Morris, P.C.. Taze and his law firm practice in all areas of commercial and business law. In addition to his law practice, Taze gives back to the community as a former Madison County Bar President, President of the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program, a former elected member of the Alabama State Board of Education and a leader of various civic organizations in Huntsville, Alabama.
The state of Alabama and the entire United States are both better places due to the service of Taze and his family.
I think you will enjoy hearing his story.
