Next Lawyer Up Podcast with Ron Sykstus featuring Dave Philipps

In the world of consumer law, especially with regard to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), attorney Dave Philipps is one of the leading lawyers throughout the country. There are a number of very talented and driven consumer lawyers throughout the country and Dave is among that select group. Dave's depth of cases that he has handled in federal court and at the court of appeals level is astounding. Additionally, Dave has handled a great many class action cases as lead counsel.

Like me, Dave grew up in Illinois.  I have been fortunate enough to work on several cases with Dave so I can attest first hand as to his knowledge, skill and foresight. Dave is very down to earth and easy to get along with - it is no wonder his clients are thrilled to have him on their side! Dave speaks several times each year throughout the country educating other lawyers on the FDCPA. The consumer world is fortunate to have him on our side. As a side note, you will hear an accent and it is not a southern one! To the extent there is something called a "Chicago" accent, Dave comes close to having one, though he educated me that it is basically a Wisconsin accent transported down to Chicago. Dave is a great guy and I was happy to be able to sit down and speak with him.
