Alabama Super Lawyers Magazine Recognizes Ronald C. Sykstus as a “Super Lawyer”

I am pleased  to announce that my partner, Ronald C. Sykstus, has been recognized again as an Alabama Super Lawyer. This is the fifth time that Ron has been recognized by Alabama Super Lawyers in the practice areas of Consumer Bankruptcy, Consumer Law and Military/Veterans Law

Ron has served as a leader to the other lawyers in our firm in building a successful and reputable practice. Ron, along with all of our attorneys and staff, strives to take the absolute best possible care of our clients in the most professional and expeditious manner possible.

Ron Sykstus is Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification. He is admitted to practice law in Alabama, Illinois, Tennessee, Washington, D.C., the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the U.S. Tax Court. He came to Huntsville to begin practice with Bond and Botes in the early 90’s following his service in the United States Army. Ron was an active duty Captain and served in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps as a trial lawyer. He received two Meritorious Service Medals during his time in the Army. His prior service to his country has fueled his interest in the areas of military law, security clearance revocation defense and veterans claims. He makes regular appearances in security clearance hearings and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims helping those who served our country receive the benefits that they earned and deserve. Ron concentrates his law practice in the areas of security clearance revocation defense, consumer bankruptcy, consumer law including Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) cases, VA disability and social security disability cases.  I head up our bankruptcy practice which allows him to focus on these other areas of practice.

Most importantly, Ron is a good husband, father and friend.  Ron and his wife Patty have raised three great sons – all of whom Ron has coached in one or more sports.  Ron is a leader in his church and community and is well respected by all who know him.

One of Ron’s interests is writing. In collaboration with our entire Bond and Botes team of lawyers, he recently published “Bankruptcy – We Wrote the Book on It”  Ron is also a co-author of “Navigating Legal Issues for Military Veterans.”
