This week we'll be discussing with our viewers a big topic: how to participate in the 2020 election. The 2020 election is bound to be a historic moment in American history, which is why your vote is more important now than ever before. We'll be discussing and taking questions on things like how to register to vote, how mail-in ballots work, voting rights, and deadlines for voting by mail and in person.
We are thrilled to be joined this week by Professor Jenny E. Carroll from The University of Alabama School of Law. Professor Carroll has authored numerous law review articles, currently serves on the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys' 11th Circuit Amicus Committee as a Vice-Chair, and in 2016 was appointed Chair of the Alabama State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Most recently she chaired the committee that drafted the comprehensive report, Barriers to Voting in Alabama.
Please note: this is not a partisan engagement, and will not be a place pushing for one candidate or another. This stream is intended to be purely informational in nature with objective information that'll be entirely relevant to all of us, regardless of political affiliation.
